- Vienna theatre project presents:
Austrian premiere
The play chronicles the adult lives of two African American brothers, Lincoln and Booth, as they cope with women, work, poverty, gambling, racism, and their troubled upbringings. Parks was awarded the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the play, which had a successful run off Broadway, garnering nominations and awards along the way. The play, which represents contemporary reality as a dog-eat-dog world, dramatizes race as a contradiction between dreams of a possible life and the reality in which the chance of their realization is the ultimate gamble. Intense, fascinating, eye-opening, this play about two men’s struggle is not to be missed.
